PNP 1911 Tool

The PNP Tool for 1911 and 2011 style pistols is the new tool that every 1911/2011 pistol owner needs in their range bag, work bench and tool box.

Designed and developed, by Joe Chambers of Chambers Custom Pistols, PNP stands for “PRESS” not “PRY” as the tool was specifically designed and made to PRESS certain pins on a 1911/2011 to aid in assembly and disassembly.

PNP specific design uses include:

~ Press out slide stop pin: with the slide in the proper position some people still struggle getting a flush cut slide stop pressed out of the frame. Using the “pin” end of the tool aids in this situation.

~ Press out the thumb safety: many times people have issues getting the left side thumb safety out of the gun without scratching this frame. The PNP tool helps press the pin whether it is ambi or not, to get it started moving in the outward direction.

~ Press out the hammer pin: After the thumb safety, grip safety and mainspring housing have been removed you can use the pin side to remove the hammer pin.

~ Press the firing pin: To remove the extractor you have to first remove the firing pin plate that is retained by the firing pin. Except in extreme cases where the plate is super tight, the pin end of the PNP tool can be used to press the firing pin in and slide to plate downward.

~ Press the plunger pin: Finally the flat end can be used to press the plunger spring assembly inward when reassembling the pistol and trying to get the thumb safety back in the gun. It is recommended that you always put the slide stop back in the gun before the thumb safety as this helps prevent that dreaded half moon scratch that can happen on the frame if done safety first, slide stop second on an unmodified pistol.
